Run for Ike Event
On Saturday, April 2nd at 8:00am, the Palm Springs Police Department will be hosting a Public Safety Display in conjunction with the 6th Annual RUN FOR IKE.
The public safety display will provide the public with an opportunity to meet PSPD personnel and Police K-9’s. PSPD will showcase patrols cars, police motorcycles, specialized police vehicles and equipment. Attendees may also participate in a pet adoption through the Palm Springs Animal Shelter during the event.
The 6th Annual RUN FOR IKE 5K run/walk will begin at 8:00 a.m from the Palm Springs Police Department. The run is held in the memory of Palm Springs Police Department K-9 Officer Ike who was killed in the line of duty in 2011.
To register for the event you can visit Active.com or Racewire.com. Late-registration for the event will take place at 6:30 a.m., Saturday morning. Race registrants will receive a 6th Anniversary RUN FOR IKE finisher trophy, a t-shirt, souvenir photo downloads, and a goody bag. Race registrants will be provided with a pancake breakfast following the race. Participants may bring walkers, strollers and their dogs to the race.
