December 13th reported robbery.
On December 15th Jean McCarty, age 55, of Madison, was arrested and charged with grand theft and false reporting in connection to the recent reported robbery of the VFW. It was learned through the course of the investigation that McCarty had fabricated the story of being robbed at knife point while closing the bar early Sunday morning.
