(Etowah County, Alabama) A Birmingham woman has been arrested in connection to a recent burglary, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin.

“Ashley Diane Coats, 31, of Birmingham, is charged with one count of third degree burglary and one count of second degree theft of property, both are felonies,” Lieutenant Robin Grant said.

Coats allegedly broke into a house in Altoona where three firearms, a computer, flat screen television, collectible coins, knives and jewelry were stolen. One of the firearms has been recovered. The other items are still being sought.

Coats is being detained in the Etowah County Detention Center on a $10,000 property bond.
