Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops Begins April 7
Danville PD to Begin Community Program
Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops kicks off April 7, 2016
Danville residents are invited to come out to several upcoming community events designed to give them a chance to meet and get to know officers from the Danville Police Department.
Police Chief Steve Simpkins said that Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops is a good way for law enforcement officers and the community to meet in an informal environment.
“The majority of interaction with police officers involves an emergency of one kind or another” Simpkins said. “These events are a great way for us to meet with our community in a more casual atmosphere. We invite community members to join us to share concerns, ask questions, talk about what’s happening in their neighborhood or simply get to know the officers who serve Danville.”
The first event is set for 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. April 7, 2016 at Christy’s Donuts. Additional Coffee & Cocoa with the Cops events will be held:
• April 14, 2016 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at Starbucks, 11000 Crow Canyon Road, Danville
• April 15, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Peet’s Coffee, 435 Railroad Ave, Danville
• April 19, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Starbucks, 730 Camino Ramon, Danville
