**The city of Livonia has had two incidents within the last week of purses being stolen out of businesses while the owners were distracted. The city of Troy has issued a notice of similar crimes occuring at shopping centers. Be aware of your purse while shopping - if possible use a clip style key ring and clip your purse strap to your shopping cart. Do not walk away from your purse - even for a second - if criminals are near they can steal your purse in a moment without you seeing**.
