No threat to public after anonymous call leads to BBCC and area school lockdown.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. (24MAR2016) - An anonymous call to Moses Lake Police Department claiming that someone had been shot at Big Bend Community College led to lockdown of Big Bend Community College and area schools, including Columbia Basin Job Corp. The threat has been thoroughly investigated, no threat was found, and the lockdown has been lifted on all area schools.

The call came in at approximately 12:20pm claiming that someone had been shot at the college. The caller provided no other information before hanging up.

Moses Lake Police Department, Grant County Sheriff's Office, and GC Tactical Response Team (TRT) responded, and searched through every building on campus. No victims or suspects were found and all the buildings were subsequently cleared.

The all clear for lockdown was issued at 1:55pm for all area schools.

Big Bend Community College is on spring break this week so the campus had limited staff and students on site.

Sheriff Tom Jones said, "A fantastic response by all law enforcement and area schools to ensure that safety was kept the top priority. We are grateful that we were all able to clear the scene so quickly."
