Subject: Workplace Safety/Violence Training
In light of recent events in our nation, it is our responsibility to focus on preparedness – including workplace safety. With this is mind, we are pleased to present Workplace Safety/Violence training, which will be offered in multiple locations throughout Wyoming.
This training is provided by the Wyoming Highway Patrol and the Wyoming Office of Homeland Security and is imperative for both Wyoming’s employees and employers. Your organization will benefit greatly from this training. We appreciate your involvement and assistance in making this training available to your work force. This training opportunity is open to both public and private sector organizations as well as the general public.
The training is approximately 3 ½ hours long and will cover the following topics:
· Brief history of work place violence,
· Terminology used,
· Law enforcement response versus expectations,
· Active shooter profile,
· Course of action – What should you do?
· Following your intuition,
· Know your surroundings,
· Emergency Action Plans, and
· Much more potentially lifesaving information.
This course will be held three times in each location to allow more individuals to have an opportunity to attend this critical training. Seating is limited so preregistration is requested. You can register and find additional information at http://hls.wyo.gov/workplace-safety.
The training will be offered in Jackson, WY at the Center for the Arts Room #118:
- Tuesday, April 12th 5:30pm to 8:45pm
- Wednesday, April 13th 8:00am to 11:45am
- Wednesday, April 13th 1:00pm to 4:45pm
