Felon arrested for possession of a firearm and narcotics for sale

On Monday, March 21, 2016, the Menlo Park Police Department’s Narcotic Enforcement Team (NET) along with the San Mateo County Narcotics Task Force (NTF), and the FBI served a search warrant in the 2300 block of Clarke Avenue in East Palo Alto.

This search warrant was the result of a month long investigation into alleged on-going sales of cocaine base by 41 year old Lamar Johnson. Police located and arrested Johnson moments after he left his residence in his vehicle on Monday morning.

During the search of his person and residence, detectives and agents located large amounts of cocaine base packaged for sales, large amounts of prescription medications for sales, a loaded stolen firearm, ammunition, and cash.

Johnson was booked into the San Mateo County Jail for possession for sales of a controlled substances, being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a firearm while possessing controlled substances, and possession of stolen property.
