Update- Victim identified in homicide that occurred in the area of Llano Lane and Barranca Way in Victorville

INCIDENT: Homicide Investigation
LOCATION: Llano Lane and Barranca Way in Victorville
VICTIM: Deanna Jeunune Medina, age 33 of Victorville
SUSPECT: Marco Antonio Pimentel, Jr., age 23 of Victorville
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at 10:07 p.m. Sheriff’s dispatch received a 911 call reporting an unresponsive female in a vehicle in the area of Llano Lane and Barranca Way in Victorville. Upon arrival, deputies located a deceased female inside the vehicle with an apparent gunshot wound to her upper body.
Sheriff’s Homicide Investigators responded to the scene to conduct the investigation. Through investigation, the suspect has been identified as Marco Antonio Pimentel. Detectives located Pimentel at a residence in Hesperia. He was arrested, transported and booked into the High Desert Detention Center for PC 187 Murder and is being held on 1,000,000.00 bail.
The investigation is ongoing and no further information is being released at this time. Updates will be issued as new information becomes available.
