INCIDENT: Robbery/Promoting a Criminal Street Gang
Possession of a Controled Substance While Armed/Illegal Possession of an Assault Weapon

LOCATION: 14800 block of Luna Rd, Victorville

SUSPECT(S): Timothy Rico, 37 of Victorville
Juan Martinez, 28 of Victorville


SUMMARY:
On March 2, 2016, witnesses called 911 to report a 31 year old Victorville man had been assaulted and robbed. Deputy Olivas and Deputy Arreola, from the Victorville Police Department, responded to the location at Mojave Drive and La Paz Drive. They determined through their investigation that the victim was walking along Mojave Drive when a male, in a Chevy Suburban, stopped his vehicle and approached the victim. He asked the victim about the leather vest he was wearing and his affiliation to a club. The victim told the suspect he did not belong to any club, at which time the suspect punched the victim in the face and stole his leather vest before returning to his vehicle and fleeing the scene. The victim was treated at a hospital for his injuries.

On March 10, 2016 deputies served a search warrant as part of the on going robbery investigation. When deputies arrived at the home on Luna Road they found Timothy Rico, the suspect in the robbery, and Juan Martinez at the location. Several firearms, drugs, and paraphernalia linking them to a criminal motorcycle gang were found at the location.

Rico was arrested for Robbery and Promoting a Criminal Street Gang and Martinez was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance while armed and Illegal Possession of an Assault Weapon. Both were booked at the High Desert Detention Center and are scheduled to appear at Victorville Superior Court on March 14, 2016.
