Trooper Working "Operation Pull Over" Project Arrests Two For Drugs

Muncie – Trooper Sam Cook was working a special driving under the influence project last night and early this morning, in Muncie, in conjunction with the Operation Pull Over Blitz 85 “Aggressive Drivers.” He was patrolling on Memorial Drive, around Walnut St., when just after midnight he saw a gold colored Chevrolet Malibu west bound on Memorial Drive exceeding the 30 M.P.H. speed limit. Cook caught up to the vehicle as it made a hard aggressive turn south onto Hoyt.

He stopped the car on Hoyt, just past 14th St., and made contact with the driver, Levi Waldrath, age 18 of Muncie. As Cook spoke to the driver, he could smell the odor of raw marijuana in the vehicle and noticed Waldrath had blood shot and watery eyes.

ISP Sergeant Jeff Zeiger was nearby and came to assist Cook. Zeiger began speaking to the passenger, Alonna Brown, age 18 of Muncie. Further investigation by the two officers led them to arrest Waldrath for Operating while Intoxicated, with a Controlled Substance, Class “C” Misdemeanor, and Possession of Marijuana, Class “B” Misdemeanor.

The passenger, Alonna Brown, was arrested for Possession of Cocaine, Level 6 Felony; Possession of a Narcotic Drug (believed to be Ecstasy,) Level 6 Felony; Possession of a Syringe, Level 6 Felony; Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Paraphernalia, both “B” Misdemeanors. Waldrath and Brown were lodged in the Delaware County Jail.
