VICTIMS: Louis Giuntini, age 95; Rose Giuntini, age 92, residents of Apple Valley
PERSON OF INTEREST/SUSPECT: Keon Bailey, age 20 of Lancaster

The extensive investigation has been continuing since February 29th, into the murders of Mr. and Mrs. Giuntini. Investigators have collected evidence that leads them to believe they have identified a person of interest in this investigation. However, confirmation of that evidence has not yet been scientifically determined.
In addition to the homicide, three recent crimes have been committed and certain evidence recovered from each scene is consistent in all locations. On February 28th, at approximately 10:55 a.m., an armed robbery occurred at Neils Donuts in the 18100 block of Hwy 18
Apple Valley. Surveillance video from the donut shop was recovered and positive identification of the suspect, Keon Bailey, was confirmed on March 9th. On March 6th, a home invasion robbery occurred in the 15600 block of Myalon Road in Apple Valley. Evidence was recovered at the home invasion robbery by investigators and is consistent with the donut shop robbery and the homicide.
On Tuesday, March 8th, a Torrance jewelry store owner shot and killed a man during an attempted robbery. The suspect has been positively identified as Keon Bailey. Bailey was found to be in possession of property that was reported stolen from victims in Apple Valley.
Keon Bailey was released on parole from State Prison on February 18, 2016, his previous crimes were for Burglary, Possession of Stolen Property, Rape, Grand Theft, Trespassing and Sexual Battery.
The investigations are continuing and updated information will be released as soon as it becomes available.
UPDATE: Tuesday, March 1, 2016/3:11 p.m.
Detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division, Homicide Detail, have determined through the death investigation of Mr. and Mrs. Giutini, that they are both victims of homicide. Autopsies will be conducted to determine cause and manner of death.
Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects responsible for the deaths of Louis and Rose Giuntini. On Monday, February 29, 2016, at 4:18 p.m., deputies from the Apple Valley Police Department responded to a residence in the 19900 block of State 18 Outer Highway in Apple Valley following the report of two deceased elderly adults located inside the residence by a family friend who was checking on them. Upon arrival, deputies and fire personnel confirmed the victims, Louis and Rose Giuntini, deceased.
Due to suspicious circumstances, detectives from the Specialized Investigations Division responded to the location and are currently conducting a Death Investigation.
