OPD Makes Multiple Arrests
Police Make Arrest in Attempted Home Invasion Robbery – On Sunday, March 6, 2016, at 11:15 PM, an attempted home invasion robbery occurred in the 2600 block of 14th Avenue. Two male adults forced their way into a residence and demanded money. The victim was able to flee and flag down an Oakland Police officer. One of the suspects fled on foot in an unknown direction. The other suspect, an adult Bay Point resident, was detained, identified by the victim as one of his assailants, and arrested.
Robber Returns to Scene of the Crime and Is Arrested – On Sunday, March 6, 2016, Oakland Police officers responded to a caller in the 1900 block of Castro Street who reported that the person who had assaulted and robbed him in February was currently inside his apartment building. The officers were able to locate and detain the suspect, an adult Oakland resident, and placed him under arrest for assault with a deadly weapon and robbery.
OPD Arrests Two for Illegal Possession of Firearms – On Sunday, March 6, 2016, at about 10:40 PM, Oakland police officers responded to the 6400 block of Telegraph Avenue to investigate a report of subjects armed with firearms and creating a disturbance. When the officers located the suspect vehicle, they were able to recover two illegally possessed firearms and placed the two adult male suspects under arrest.
