Christopher Harmon has been arrested twice by the Sonoma County Sheriff`s Office recently for charges stemming from sexual assault investigations. He has been arrested a third time for sexual assault.
Harmon was an employee of the Summerfield Waldorf School. He was arrested for molesting a 4 year old student. During the follow-up investigation, the Domestic Violence / Sexual Assault Detective was able to identify more victims of sexual assault. After interviewing the victims, Harmon was arrested on more charges and booked into the Sonoma County Jail. He subsequently bailed out each time he was arrested and booked.
Information was released to the media following Harmon`s second arrest. In that release, anyone with information about Harmon or the case was provided with contact information for the Sonoma County Sheriff`s Office.
An additional victim came forward to report that she too had been sexually assaulted by Harmon. This victim had seen the press release and contacted us on our website. She submitted a Silent Witness Form through Sonoma Sheriff’s Office website with details and information about her interaction with Harmon. The Silent Witness Form went straight to a Law Enforcement Sergeant, who sent it directly to the DVSA Detective unit. She was contacted and interviewed by the lead detective.
This victim had been lured into a relationship with Harmon when she was a minor. Almost immediately Harmon ingratiated himself into her family, coercing her into sexual acts and later raped her after serving her intoxicants. Harmon sexually assaulted her from August of 2014 into 2015. The assaults took place in the unincorporated area of county jurisdiction, outside of Sebastopol.
After the DVSA Detective conducted further investigation he sought another warrant for Harmon’s arrest. The Judge signed the warrant and Detectives tried to locate Harmon, who was out on bail for the two previous sexual assault cases. Harmon surrendered at the Sheriff’s Office and was booked into county jail for three sexual assault charges: rape of a drugged victim, unlawful sex with a minor and oral copulation of a minor. His bail was again set at $200,000 and he is scheduled to appear in court on March 9 at 8:30.
