Sgt. Bruce Greene receives Advance Service Award
On 3-4-2016, Sheriff Chris Francis congratulated Sgt. Bruce Wayne Greene for receiving the Advanced Service Award.
The North Carolina Sheriff’s Education and Training Standards Commission awarded Sgt. Greene with the Advanced Service Award.
The Advanced Service Award recognizes sheriffs, deputy sheriffs and detention officers for their “loyal and competent” service to a particular sheriff’s office as well as to the state. To qualify, they must complete a minimum of 20 years of service.
In Sgt. Greene’s letter recognizing his accomplishment, Attorney General Roy Cooper, wrote, “I extend my most sincere congratulations to you on award of this Advanced Service Award and the honor which it bestows upon you. As a recipient of this prestigious award, you have placed yourself among the “ELITE” of law enforcement officers in the state of North Carolina.
Sgt. Greene began his law enforcement career in 1992 and has almost 23 years service with the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office.
Bruce is currently the Sergeant of the Forensic Unit.
