Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the name of the person whose body washed ashore and was discovered on the morning of March 1, 2016, near Bodega Dunes south of Salmon Creek.
The deceased is identified as Channing Gardner, a 62 year old woman from Santa Rosa. Her family has been located and informed of her death.
The Coroner’s Office will schedule a forensic pathologist to perform an examination to determine the cause and manner of Gardner’s death.
