Sonoma County Sheriff Coroner’s Office is releasing the name of the person whose body washed ashore and was discovered on the morning of February 29, 2016, near Bodega Dunes, south of Salmon Creek.
The deceased is identified as Steven Mitchell, a 56 year old man from Santa Rosa. His family has been informed of his death.
The Coroner’s Office has scheduled a forensic pathologist to perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.
