Update - Armed Robbery Suspects

On February 20, 2016 at about 8:00 PM, a strong-arm robbery occurred in the parking lot of Stoneridge Mall. The victim, a 17 year-old female accompanied by several companions, was walking to her parked vehicle and was approached by three males in a silver SUV. The males exited the vehicle began speaking to the victim and her companions, as they continued to walk away one of the males grabbed the victim’s purse. The victim was struck in the face and pushed to the ground as the male took her purse. No medical aid was required. One of the victim’s companions was able to provide a description for a sketch of the suspect to be created.

The three suspects were described as Black males, between the ages of 18 and 25 years old, medium build and wearing dark colored hoodie sweatshirts. One of the suspects was seeing holding a long black stick or piece of metal, possibly a long gun. They were seen driving an older silver Honda Pilot with an unknown license plate.

On February 21, 2016 at 1:28 PM, an armed robbery occurred in the parking lot of Stoneridge Mall. The victim, 63 year-old female, was standing next to her vehicle when she was approached by three males. One of the males grabbed the victim’s purse and another male brandished a firearm, either a rifle or shotgun. The victim fell to the ground during the struggle for her purse. One of the males kicked her back prior to fleeing the area in a cream colored Mercedes SUV. The vehicle was last seeing entering westbound I-580. The three suspects were described as Black males between the ages of 18 and 20 years old with medium wearing dark colored jackets or sweatshirts.

Based on the initial investigations conducted by Pleasanton Police Department it appears these two robberies are related. Uniformed patrols of Stoneridge Mall have increased since the two robberies. The Pleasanton Police Department is currently working in conjunction with allied agencies during this investigation to identify suspects.
