The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Marina del Rey Station personnel will be hosting a “Sheriff’s Department Neighborhood Walk, Talk, and Watch.”

When: Saturday, February 20, 2016

Time: 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M.

Where: Monteith Park, 4616 South Mullen Avenue View Park, CA 90043

Neighborhood Walk, Talk, and Watch is a new crime prevention concept which encourages citizens and deputies to walk the neighborhood together. This allows all involved to interface with the community while also encouraging community members to keep a watchful eye on their neighbors’ property. This will hopefully deter future criminal activity while strengthening our partnership with the community. Deputies from the Marina del Rey Station and the Marina del Rey Station’s Neighborhood Block Captains will participate in this event. We encourage all residents to invite their families and friends to work together in this joint effort to prevent crime. This occurrence will be sponsored by our Community Relations staff. The temperature is forecasted to be between 62 and 71 degrees. Be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and please bring water for hydration purposes.

WALK ROUTE: Start/Finish Monteith Park. Olympiad Drive East to Angeles Vista

Boulevard; Angeles Vista Boulevard North to Homeland Drive; Homeland Drive

South to Monteith Park. Total distance: 1.0 mile.
