Incident: Police Need Help Identifying Suspect Who Stole Items from Kohl’s Department Store and Quickly Returned Them for Gift Cards

Incident: Unknown Subject Stole Items from the Store and Returned Them for Gift Cards.
Suspect: White male, 5’-10” to 6’-00” tall, approximately 25 years old, short brown hair and unshaven
Incident Summary:
On February 12, 2016, at approximately 6:30pm, the described white male adult entered Kohl’s Department Store and selected numerous items from their display areas. The suspect then went to the store’s return counter and returned the items. The suspect was given gift cards for the items he had just stolen. The suspect was able to elude capture and fled the store on foot.
The Petaluma Police Department is asking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect. Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspects is encouraged to notify Petaluma Police Officer Esponda by phone, 707-781-1218.
