“Police Blotter” Highlights – Ending Feb. 7th, 2016

ROBBERIES
On Friday, Feb. 5th, around 5:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4400 block of Alamo Ct. on the report of a robbery. Two juvenile suspects robbed a juvenile victim of his cell phone. One of the suspects, a 13-year-old Oakland resident, was arrested.

On Saturday, Feb. 6th, around 1:15 p.m., Ofc. Bedford was dispatched to a business in the 1700 block of Decoto Rd. on the report of a brandishing and robbery. Johnny Benitez, a 46-year-old Union City resident, was arrested.

WEEK IN REVIEW

Stolen Property:
On Thursday, Feb. 4th, around 9:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 3100 block of San Ramon Ct. on reports of a theft. The reporting party stated that three suspects took vehicle parts from his property. Officers located two of the suspects nearby, who were in possession of the stolen parts. Jonathan Isezaki, a 37-year-old Union City resident, and David Pasco, a 47-year-old Union City resident, were both arrested.

On Sunday, Feb. 7th, officers were dispatched to a hotel on Alvarado-Niles Rd. on the report of a female causing a disturbance. A consensual search of her property yielded multiple credit cards and other ID’s that were not in her name. Follow-up with the victims determined that their property had been stolen in various residential and auto burglaries. Tia Bland, a 33-year-old Oakland resident, was arrested for possession of stolen property.

BURGLARIES AND CAR THEFTS

RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES
From Monday, Feb. 1st through Sunday, Feb. 7th, there were two reported residential burglaries:
• 4100 block of Asimuth Circle: Occurred on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd, between 9:15 a.m. and 7 p.m. The door to a detached garage was kicked open, and the loss included shoes and a basketball.
• 30700 block of Cavalier Ct.: Occurred on Wednesday, Feb. 3rd, between 7:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Two rear sliding glass doors were smashed. The master bedroom was ransacked, and the loss included a plastic jug of coins.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARIES
From Monday, Feb. 1st through Sunday, Feb. 7th, there was one reported commercial burglary:
• Union Landing business: Occurred on Tuesday, Feb. 2nd, around 7:45 p.m. One suspect used a screwdriver to force open the cash drawer of an unattended register. He stole $375 and fled with another suspect in a 2003 red Ford Taurus, which failed to yield to police officers. The first suspect was described as a black male, 30 years old, 5’10” and 220 lbs. The second suspect was described as a black male, 30 years old, 6’2” and 180 lbs.

AUTO BURGLARIES AND VEHICLE THEFTS
From Monday, Feb. 1st through Sunday, Feb. 7th, there were five reported auto burglaries.

From Monday, Feb. 1st through Sunday, Feb. 7th, there was one reported vehicle theft. The vehicle was later recovered.
