Today, Christopher Harmon, a 21 year old man from Santa Rosa, was arrested for multiple sex crimes with minors.
Harmon was working at Summerfield Waldorf School in Santa Rosa as an afterschool aide. He had been arrested in December for suspicion of engaging in sex acts with a 4 year old child. Harmon was arrested and booked on felony charges, but produced bail and was out of custody.
Harmon was not in contact with children from the school and was not back on their campus upon release.
While Harmon was out, Detectives from the Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault unit continued their investigation into the case and other possible victims. They were relentless and after an exhausting investigation, DV/SA Detectives learned there had been two more victims.
They conducted interviews and follow-up investigation. They learned that the crimes did not occur while Harmon was out on bail.
Today after Harmon appeared in court to face the original charges, DV/SA Detectives arrested him outside the courthouse for new felony charges.
He was booked into jail for violation of rape of an intoxicated victim, attempted rape, oral copulation by force, possession of child pornography, unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, and annoying a child. Harmon’s bail was set at $200,000 and he is due again in court on February 17th at 1:30.
This is an active and open investigation into a series of highly sensitive crimes. Details will only be released in a manner that does not compromise the integrity of the case.
