Preventing Vehicle Burglaries

Here are a few tips for protecting yourself and your property from vehicle burglary:
• Ensure your vehicle is locked and secure.
• Place valuable items out of sight from potential thieves.
• Park vehicle(s) in well-lit areas if possible.
• Make sure windows and sunroofs are closed completely.

Taking preventative steps to ensure your property is secure can reduce your chances of becoming a victim of a vehicle burglary. As always, please report any suspicious person(s) or activity to the Lakewood Sheriff Station at 562-623-3500.
