APD PACE officers arrest teenage fugitive on outstanding murder warrant from Louisville Kentucky.
On 2-10-16, APD PACE (ProActive Criminal Enforcement) officers received information from Louisville Metro Police in Louisville, Kentucky, about a wanted suspect in Amarillo. Special Crimes offices forwarded the warrant information onto the PACE unit who tracked down a possible address. Officers used that information to connect him to an apartment in the 1300 block of Herman. At about 3:25 PM, they arrested Kyree Dujuan Yancey BM age 17 at the home. He was arrested without incident after being seen on the front porch of the home. Yancey was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on warrant 14-700265-004 charging one count of murder and one count of robbery, and one count of possession of a handgun by a minor. The APD has no detail of the original case, which happened in Kentucky. Yancey will remain in Potter County until arrangements are made for an extradition to Kentucky.
