Criminal Activity Alert - Suspicious Actor - Twin Brooks Rd Area

On Monday February 8th, a resident from the Twin Brooks Road area called reporting a suspicious individual. This individual approached a residence and rang the doorbell while the resident was home. When the doorbell went unanswered this actor walked around the side of the home to the rear yard carrying a tool. While in the rear yard the suspicious male was looking at the windows when he observed the resident looking out at him, and fled the area.

Surrounding jurisdictions have experienced similar events including daytime burglaries. Please report any suspicious activity immediately when it is observed.

The following tips may reduce your chances of becoming a victim;
*Lock your doors and windows- Patrol locates insecure doors regularly.
 If you have an alarm system, update it, and use it.
 Second story windows should be alarmed.
 Leave interior and exterior lights on to make your home appear occupied.
 Leave a television or radio on inside your home.
 Please remove jewelry and valuables from the bedrooms.
 Remove safes from the master bedroom and their closets.
 Lock any unoccupied vehicles and remove the key fobs from them.
 Remove mail and newspapers from your driveway the day they are delivered.
 Secure any ladders on your property.
