A Bloomington resident is arrested for commercial burglary after breaking into a closed business in Grand Terrace

LOCATION: Walnut Ave X Burns Ave, Grand Terrace
SUSPECT: Dwayne Burns, 49-year-old resident of Bloomington
SUMMARY:
On Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at 11:36 p.m. Central deputies assigned to the contract city of Grand Terrace, responded to a vehicle check at the above location. Upon their arrival, 49-year-old Dwayne Thomas and an unknown male were walking up a driveway to a closed business at the location. When confronted by the deputies, the subjects fled across the yard area into the business. Thomas was taken into custody without incident and the other unknown subject got away. While checking the business, deputies located a tool room was broken into and a white older model Suburban vehicle was loaded with equipment, including welders, air compressors and other miscellanous power tools. Thomas was arrested for commercial burglary and booked at Central Detention Center.
