Pregnant Woman and Boyfriend Arrested For Meth

New Castle – A pregnant woman and her boyfriend were arrested on felony drug charges yesterday afternoon, after an anonymous tip about illegal drug use led officers to their home in New Castle. Troopers from the Meth Suppression Team, along with members of the New Castle Police Department and Department of Child Services, went to the home at 137 N. 24th St. around 4 p.m. yesterday.

Troopers initially made contact with resident Hannah Heinrich, age 24, who is five months pregnant. After further investigation, they arrested Heinrich for Possession of Methamphetamine, Level 6 Felony, and Neglect of a Dependent, Level 6 Felony. She was also charged with Possession of Paraphernalia and Possession of Marijuana, both misdemeanor charges.

As officers spoke with Heinrich her boyfriend, Jonathan Murphy, age 24, drove up to the house. Officers arrested Murphy, who also lives at the residence, for Possession of Methamphetamine and Neglect of a Dependent, both Level 6 Felonies. He was also charged with Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana and Driving While Suspended, all three misdemeanor charges.

Heinrich and Murphy were both lodged in the Henry County Jail. In addition the Department of Child Services, who assisted in the investigation, had to remove two children under the age of ten from the home.
