Deputies arrest a Chino resident after he was found burglarizing vehicles in Chino Hills

Date/Time: February 8, 2016, at approximately 1:38 A.M.
Incident: PC 459 – Burglary, PC 496 - Receiving stolen property
Location: 15000 Block of Hanover Way, Chino Hills
Suspect(s): Richard Steven Silva, 22 years of age and a resident of Chino
A 17 year old male juvenile and a resident of Chino
Victim(s): Victim #1, 25 year old female resident of Chino Hills
Victim #2, 38 year old male resident of Chino Hills
Victim #3, 38 year old female resident of Chino Hills

On Monday, February 8, 2016, at 01:38 a.m., deputies from the Chino Hills Police/Sheriff's Station responded to the 15000 block of Hanover Way in reference to two subjects breaking into vehicles.

Upon arrival, deputies contacted a subject, later identified as Richard Steven Silva. After an investigation Silva was found to be in possession of approximately $1,023 dollars worth of stolen property.

Through investigation detectives learned of a second subject, a 17 year old male juvenile. Silva and the juvenile walked around the neighborhood, pulled on door handles, and stole miscellaneous items from three different vehicles.

The juvenile was cited and released to his guardian at the scene. Silva was arrested, transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
