UPDATE #LASD Homicide Detectives investigate shooting death of man in 800 Block of Lewiston St, Duarte 
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a man that occurred in the 800 block of Lewiston Street in the city of Duarte.
Detectives have learned that while the victim was seated on the driver side of a vehicle, an unknown suspect approached the vehicle from behind, and fired several rounds from a handgun at the victim before fleeing the scene on foot.
The victim was struck in the torso by gunfire and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding paramedics.
The investigation is on-going and there is no additional information available at this time.
