A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from midnight tonight to 6 a.m. Wednesday. Accumulations of 2 to 5 inches of snow are possible.
Snow is expected to develop late this evening and overnight then continue through Tuesday night. The snow has the potential to fall at a moderate to heavy rate at times Tuesday and Tuesday night. Visibilities may drop to one half mile or less at times.
Accumulating snow will affect travel late tonight through Tuesday night, including the rush hour commutes. Road conditions will likely deteriorate during times of heavier snowfall rates. Bridges and other elevated surfaces tend to become slippery first.
