San Bernardino - suspect arrested for home invasion robbery in San Bernardino found in possession of stolen property

SUMMARY:
On Saturday, February 6, 2016, at approximately 8:55 p.m., deputies from the Central Station responded to a residence in the 6900 block of N. Barton Road in San Bernardino, following the report of a home invasion robbery. Upon arrival, deputies were advised that a male subject, later identified as Juan Corral, made entry into the victim’s residence through a bedroom window. The suspect, walked into the living room area of the residence and pointed a rifle at the victims while they were watching television. The victims were in fear for their lives. One of the victims recognized the weapon as his own pellet gun. The victim confronted the suspect and was able to take the pellet gun from him and demanded he leave his home. Juan Corral fled the location on foot prior to the deputies’ arrival.
The victim called dispatch and gave a description of the suspect. Deputy Gapik located the suspect at the corner of Baseline Road and Barton Road. Juan Corral was positively identified and found to be in possession of the victim’s stolen property. Corral was booked into Central Detention Center for PC 212.5 Home Invasion Robbery.
