On 2-6-16 at 4:16 AM APD officers were dispatched to 3602 East Amarillo Blvd on a suspicious vehicle. Officers made contact with a black 2012 Volkswagen car and found it to have two occupants. Upon arrival the vehicle left the parking lot in the 3600 block of East Amarillo Blvd and officers attempted to stop the suspect. The suspect vehicle then struck a parked vehicle at 3612 East Amarillo Blvd and the driver and passenger fled on foot, but were apprehended by officers. The driver was identified as Cody Lance Prieto HM 25 and the passenger as Oscar Fabian Trujillo HM 21. The Volkswagen was found to be stolen out of Friona, Tx. Prieto was arrested for evading arrest/detention using a vehicle, evading arrest/detention, unauthorized use of a vehicle, resisting arrest, and drug paraphernalia. Trujillo was arrested for criminal trespass of a vehicle and evading arrest/detention. Both were booked into the Potter County Detention Center
