Victorville deputies arrested 18 year old Andrew Hernandez for posting criminal threats on social media.

SUMMARY:
On Friday, February 5, 2016 at 11:52 p.m., Victorville Police responded to information obtained regarding a non-specific threat of a "highdesertmassacre". The threat was posted on social media and deputies located the posting and made contact with Andrew Hernandez. Hernandez posted several entries on his Facebook page, which caused numerous students of Silverado High School to become concerned for their safety.
Officials for Silverado High School were contacted and cancelled Saturday School as a precaution and have been updated that an arrest in this matter has been made.
The Victorville Police, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department and Silverado High School officials take all threats to the safety of the public and the schools as a serious matter and the threats will be fully investigated.
Hernandez was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center and is awaiting the filing of charges by the District Attorney.
