LOCATION: 16700 block of Desert Lily Street, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Joshua Welch, age 23, of Victorville
SUMMARY: On January 30, 2016, Joshua Welch, was arrested for an armed robbery that occurred at the Gas Mart on Mojave and La Paz, in Victorville. Welsh posted bail and was released from custody a short time later.
On February 3, 2016, as a part of the ongoing investigation of the robbery, deputies from the Victorville Police Department's Gang Detail served a search warrant at Welch's home. During the service of the search warrant deputies recovered several firearms, ammunition, and a military-style Kevlar vest, all of which Welsh is prohibited from possessing as a convicted felon. Several fraudulent credit cards were also found at the location.
Welch was arrested for being a felon in possession of firearms and other related charges. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center.
