THEFT SUSPECT CAUGHT 
A theft suspect wanted in a rash of recent thefts from unlocked vehicles was arrested last night. Within the past two days approx. 23 victims of theft from vehicles were reported in La Verne. A detective task force was deployed, during the night hours to try and find and arrest the suspect pictured in a recently released flier. Last night a La Verne Parking Enforcement Officer saw a male matching the description. He immediately notified detectives on the task force, who responded and arrested Robert M. Wood. Wood had property on him from a vehicle he had just stolen from. Wood also admitted to approx. 40 thefts in the recent days. Wood is being held on $20,000 bail.
