Victorville - Deputies respond to a residential fire

DATE/TIME: February 3, 2016/8:58 p.m.

INCIDENT: Residential Fire

LOCATION: 13600 block of Breckenridge Lane, Victorville

SUMMARY: On February 3, 2016, at approximately 8:58 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to the report of a residential fire in the 13600 block of Breckenridge Lane. When deputies arrived they found the garage portion of the home engulfed in flames. It appeared that an electric heater, being used to keep the homeowners dogs warm, had ignited gas fumes from an off road vehicle that was being stored in the garage.
The homeowner and deputies were able to contain the flames to the garage area until fire personnel arrived at the location and extinguished the fire. No injuries were reported and the cost of the damage is unknown at this time.
