Loma Linda - Deputies arrest 3 suspects for strong arm robbery - 2 of the suspects are juveniles

SUMMARY: On Friday, January 29, 2016, at approximately 5:54 p.m. Deputy C. Ortiz conducted a robbery investigation in the 25600 block of Van Leuven Street in Loma Linda. The victim was working construction at the church and while he was putting tools away in his truck, two subjects grabbed and held the victim. The victim was able to break free and run away, but his tools in his truck were stolen by the unknown suspects.
On February 3, 2016 at about 5:20 p.m., deputies responded to a vehicle check call for service at the 10700 block of Poplar Street in Loma Linda. The caller stated a silver Scion with four subjects inside were driving around the parking lot doing drugs and playing the stereo loud disturbing the peace. When Deputy Sanchez arrived, he located the vehicle, detained the occupants, and conducted an investigation. During the investigation, Deputy Ortiz recognized the victim's stolen tools. Also inside the vehicle was a replica rifle and replica handgun. Through the investigation the deputies determined the suspect Noe Romo and two juveniles were involved in the robbery at the church.
Romo was arrested and booked at the Central Detention Center for robbery and possession of stolen property. Two 16-year-olds were also arrested, but were released with a citation to their parents.
