Two teens shot on Norval Street

DATE / TIME: Wednesday, February 3, 2016 2056 hrs
LOCATION: 1700 block of Norval Street, Pomona, CA
CRIME: 664/187 PC – Attempt Homicide
VICTIM: (3) 17 year old males, all Pomona residents
SUSPECT: Unknown male
SUSPECT VEHICLE: Possibly a dark Honda type vehicle
UNIT: Patrol Division
NARRATIVE:
On the indicated date and time, officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Norval Street in regards to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, 3 victims were located, two of which were suffering from gunshot wounds; the third victim was not struck by gunfire but was standing with the other two subjects when the shooting took place.

An unknown male subject approached the victims on foot and began firing. He then fled running south toward Franklin Avenue. According to witnesses, a dark colored Honda type vehicle was seen leaving the area at a high rate of speed, however it is unclear if the suspect actually got into that vehicle.

Both victims were transported to a local area hospital in serious condition, however their wounds do not appear to be life threatening.

The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time, but there is no indication that the victims were gang related.
