Residents of Mount Holly are to be aware of people calling stating they are from the IRS, this is a phone scam. 
There are currently people calling residents stating they are from the IRS. They are stating that you owe back taxes and if you fail to pay you will be arrested or your property will be seized. If you receive these calls hang up immediately.
The IRS will not:
* call you, they will notify you by mail for any payments.
*Demand you pay taxes without first letting you appeal.
* require you pay your taxes in a certain way, for example with a prepaid card.
*Ask for any of your credit card numbers over the phone.
*Threaten to bring in police or any other agencies to arrest you if you do not pay.
