#013 Warrant Arrest - At 9:18 a.m., Semi-Permanent Traffic Officer Marcelino conducted a pedestrian enforcement stop at the intersection of Mowry Ave and Fremont Blvd. for an infraction while panhandling. Officer Marcelino attempted to stop the male but he refused to stop and continued to walk away. Additional patrol officers arrived on scene and the male was taken into custody for a warrant.
#025 Residential Burglary - A residential burglary occurred in the 700 block of McDuff Ave at a vacant home under renovation. While forced entry was found, it did not appear anything was taken.
#003 Possession of Methamphetamine - At 1:16 a.m. Officer Smith drove to the rear of a shopping center located in the area of Decoto Rd and Fremont Blvd. He noticed an adult male behind caution tape in a construction area. The male attempted to flee when he noticed Officer Smith. The 24-year-old adult male stopped and it was learned that he was on probation. During a search, suspected methamphetamine was located on his person. He was arrested for possession of illegal paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamine.
#004 Possession of Methamphetamine - At 2:37 a.m., Officer Hernandez conducted a pedestrian stop on a 43-year-old adult male near 5 Corners in Irvington. Based upon the male’s probation status, a search was conducted and he was found to be in possession of methamphetamine. The male was arrested without incident.
#005 Posession of Methamphetamine - At 2:18 a.m., Officer Bordy was dispatched to investigate a suspicious circumstance call in the 38000 block of Canyon Heights. The call was quickly unfounded but Officer Bordy found the caller, a 33 year old adult female to also be in possession of methamphetamine. Officer Bordy made the third arrest in the evening for possession of methamphetamine.
#035 Grand Theft - At 2:20 p.m., CSO Baca was detailed to the area of Rabbit Ct. and Lynx Dr. regarding the theft of cable and wire from utility polls. The theft is believed to have occurred between 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. on 1/27/16. The victims were various phone companies and the City of Fremont. The loss and damage was in excess of several thousand dollars.
#040 Warrant Service - At 5:43 p.m., Officer Carter and FTO Harvey conducted a bicycle stop on a male and female for a vehicle code violation in the 37800 block of Niles Blvd. and found the female had an outstanding, no bail warrant. The female was arrested for the warrant and transported to the Fremont Jail. During a search in the pre-booking process, a detention officer located a glass bulbous pipe with white residue on her person. Charges of possession of illegal drug paraphernalia were added.
#045 Possession of Methamphetamine - At 7:42 p.m., Officer Burch and FTO Foster conducted a pedestrian stop in the area of Glenmoor Dr and Peralta Blvd. As officers approached, the male tried to walk and hide behind a vehicle. Officers made contact and saw him throw something on the ground behind the vehicle. Officers walked over to where the male was standing and found a small bag that contained a white crystallized substance, which appeared to be methamphetamine. The male was found to be on probation and was arrested for possession of methamphetamine.

#019 Residential Burglary - At 1:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to take a residential burglary report in the area of 5700 Spry Co. Officers found the door had been kicked in, which is believed to have occurred between 7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Loss was cash.
#026 Attempt Strong-arm Robbery - Officer Richards was detailed to a local hospital to take a report of an attempted robbery, where the victim was being seen by medical personnel for an injury she sustained. The victim advised the crime took place on 1/18 at approximately 4:00 p.m., while she was walking across from a shopping complex located on the 4600 block of Thornton Ave. The suspect approached the victim and began striking her with his fists, attempting to get her phone and speaker. The suspect was unsuccessful and fled on foot. The suspect was described as a black male adult, mid-40’s, 5’5” -5’7”, average build, wearing a dark baseball style hat and a dark or plain black short sleeve t-shirt. Investigation continuing.
#028 Bike Theft - At 3:29 p.m., Officer Gigliotti and FTO Zargham were dispatched to a suspicious circumstance call where a male reportedly stashed a bike in some bushes on Farwell Dr., then left the area on another bike. The officers located the bike, which was of high value and took it as found property. About a half hour later, a female victim reported her bike was stolen from the front of a hair salon, which matched the description of the bike the officers located. The female was able to identify her bike and it was released to her. The suspect was only described as a male teenager. Investigation continuing.
#033 Warrant Service - Officer Carter and FTO Harvey conducted a traffic stop in the area of 5 corners. The driver and his passenger were contacted and the passenger was found to have two misdemeanor warrants and was arrested for the same.

#017 Possession of Stolen Property - At 11:23 a.m., Officer Ramsey conducted a probation search at a motel located on the 46100 bock of Research Ave and located a female who was under the influence and also in possession of stolen mail. The 35-year-old adult female is arrested and booked at the Santa Rita Jail. The victim was located and confirmed the female suspect did not have permission to take his documents.
#029 Possession of a Controlled Substance and Burglary Tools - Officer Ferrera was driving southbound on Blacow when he noticed a male riding a bicycle southbound on the sidewalk in violation of a Fremont municipal code and also wearing headphones on both ears in violation of a vehicle code violation. A traffic stop was initiated and the male was found to be on probation. During a search, pursuant to his search clause, a small baggie of methamphetamine was located on his person. He was also found to be in possession of burglary tools. The male was booked at the Fremont Jail for possession of a controlled substance and possession of burglary tools.
#035 Driving on a Suspended License Arrest - At 8:27 p.m., Officer Torrico conducted a traffic stop on a Acura with a headlight out. The 29 year old adult female driver was found to have a suspended license and was cite released with a court date.
#033 Tampering with a Vehicle - At 7:51 p.m., Officer Loughery arrested a 27-year-old adult male, Fremont resident, after he was found tampering in a vehicle that did not belong to him. The male refused to provide officers with his name, but a deputy at Santa Rita immediately recognized him. Fingerprints verified his identity.
#041 Robbery - A victim was talking on his cell phone on the sidewalk in the 39000 block of Bidwell Dr., when he was approached by and unknown suspect who punched him and grabbed his cell phone. The suspect fled the scene in an unknown direction. The victim suffered a cut lip as a result of the robbery. Loss was a gold iPhone5. The suspect was described as a black male adult, 20-25 years old wearing a black hoodie. Investigation continuing by Officer Stiers and FTO Lobue.
#003 Promiscuous Shooting - At 12:44 a.m., a couple of citizens call to report they heard several gunshots in the area of the Florence Bar in Niles and G Street. There was a concert at the bar and foot traffic in the area was heavy. Officers located shell casings along the curb in front of the bar and along the sidewalk in the southbound direction. Officers received general information that a male was involved but were otherwise uncooperative. Investigation continuing by Officer Allsup.

#013 Suspicious Circumstance - Fremont Fire called from Station 9 (Stevenson Pl.) advising they found a backpack in their rear parking lot that contained a firearm. We responded and determined the firearm was actually a pellet gun, but it sure looked real and was in a holster. Documented by Officer Liu.
#017 Shoplifting - At 12:29 p.m., a witness on-viewed a petty theft at Lucky’s Brookvale. As the witness entered, he could see the manager chasing someone out of the store for stealing alcohol. The witness actively watched/followed the suspect until patrol units could arrive. The 51 year old adult male suspect was arrested.
#023 Strong-Arm Robbery - At 3:11 p.m., a strong-arm robbery occurred in the area of Morrison Canyon and Mission Blvd. A female victim was walking in that area when a male passenger exited the suspect vehicle and took her purse from her. The suspect was described as Hispanic male adult in his early 20’s, 5’6”, medium build, fair complexion, clean cut wearing a black jacket with a red vertical stripe on the arms and blue jeans. The suspect vehicle was a silver 4-dr sedan, similar to a Toyota Camry. The driver was a white female with short hair.
#037 Warrant Arrest - At 10:35 p.m., Officer J. Kennedy conducted a traffic enforcement stop on the 40500 block of Paseo Padre Pkwy. He made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and learned the driver had a suspended drivers license. The driver was cited and a 24-year-old adult male passenger was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
#038 Suspended Driver’s License - At 10:32 p.m., Officer T. Roberts conducted a traffic enforcement stop on the 46600 block of Mission Blvd. and cited a 34-year-old adult male, San Jose resident for driving on a suspended driver’s license.
#001 Suspended Driver’s License - At 1:56 a.m., CSI Chan conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Mission Blvd. and Warm Springs Blvd. He made contact with the 43-year-old adult male driver and learned he had a suspended license. The driver was cited.
