 Community Tips Result in One Arrest for Methamphetamine

 

Parke County—On Wednesday morning, January 27, 2016 at 10:00, troopers from the Putnamville District Drug Task Force, acting on community tips, went to a residence at 620 Iva Street in Montezuma to investigate possible drug activity. During their investigation, troopers found approximately one gram of suspected methamphetamine, various items of drug paraphernalia, and syringes.

 

Arrested:         Darin Mathas, age 34, of the address

                        Held in Parke County Jail

 

Charges:          Possession of Methamphetamine; Possession of Paraphernalia; Possession of Syringes; and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.

 

The investigation was conducted by ISP Putnamville Drug Task Force Troopers Tim Rader, Chuck Murphy, Jeremy Lewis, and K-9 Handler Michael Organ and K-9 “Zeke”. Assisting were the Parke County Sheriff’s Office and the Montezuma Town Marshal.

Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
