SUMMARY: On Tuesday, January 26, 2016, Deputy Fernando Caballero from the Victorville Police Department was awarded the O'Keefe Memorial Public Safety "Service Above Self" Award. Deputy Caballero was honored by the Victorville Rotary Club for his outstanding service to the community since his arrival at the Victorville Police Department in 2012. During his time at the Victorville Station, he has proven himself to be a very capable and dedicated servant, which resulted in his selection to work on the Gang Team. The Gang Team’s primary mission is to focus on dismantling gangs and to investigate all gang related crime.
Servanthood is a quality completely characterized by Deputy Caballero. He is a husband and father to 3 children yet Caballero dedicates countless hours to the citizens of Victorville and San Bernardino County every day. Deputy Caballero is worthy of recognition because of his servant attitude, self-confidence, outstanding performance, great communication and positive impact.
