Chino Hills, Deputies arrest two suspects for petty theft and possession of stolen property

Suspect(s): Hector Martinez, age 33, Roanne Mailander, age 46
SUMMARY:
On Sunday, January 24, 2015, at approximately 6:15 a.m., Chino Hills Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a silver 2007 Toyota Camry for traffic violations. Roanne Mailander and Hector Martinez were identified as the occupants of the vehicle. During the traffic stop, the driver, Roanne Mailander, displayed signs and symptoms of being under the influence of methamphetamines and was also found to have warrants for her arrest.
Mailander and Martinez were detained and were removed from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle was conducted. During the search, deputies recovered documents containing sensitive and personal information belonging to three different residents of San Bernardino County, two from Fontana and one from Chino Hills. The residents were contacted and were found to be victims of vehicle burglaries which occurred during the early morning hours of Sunday, January 24. Also in the vehicle was a prescription bottle containing prescription pain medication and a plastic wrapper containing suspected crystal methamphetamine. Several other items suspected of being stolen were recovered from the vehicle and stored for safekeeping at the Chino Hills Station.
