Central deputies arrest James Juarez for attempted robbery while armed with a 10 in. screwdriver.

SUSPECT: James Juarez, 47 years old
SUMMARY:
On January 23, 2016 at 4:05 p.m. Deputy Nicassio was conducting proactive patrol when he observed a male subject walking in the roadway. Nicassio made contact with the subject who was found to be intoxicated. The subject was uncooperative and would not provide his correct name. The subject finally provided his correct information and was found to be on felony probation. While Nicassio was detaining the subject, he was flagged down. A male victim positively identified the subject Nicassio had detained as a male suspect who tried to rob him. Deputy Nicassio determined the male suspect approached the victim and demanded money. When the victim failed to give the suspect any money, the male suspect displayed a 10 inch screwdriver and threatened violence on the victim. The victim was in fear for his life, but was able to run away from the suspect and call 911.
James Juarez was arrested for Attempted Robbery and he was transported to Central Detention Center for booking.
