Advisory

On street parking will be restricted in Central Business District & on DeForest Ave. Please obey all Emergency No Parking signs tomorrow.

Other Important Updates:

There will be no overnight parking on all City streets until further notice. Summonses will be issued and vehicles are subject to be towed. This is so DPW can continue to plow/remove snow without obstructions.

On street parking will be restricted in the central retail business district tomorrow as snow is cleared. The park & shop lots and businesses will be open.

The DPW is making it a priority to clear streets near schools and in the downtown. With the amount of snow we received, it will take time to clear it. Thank you for your patience.

Please drive slowly as high snow banks and narrow roads decrease visibility for other vehicles and pedestrians. Roads will become icy as the temperature drops.

NJ Law requires that motorists remove all snow from vehicles before driving. Please take the extra time to complete this, as it is very dangerous to you and others.

Please clear fire hydrants on or near your property to make them readily accessible during emergencies.

With the narrow roads, icy conditions and limited visibility, please allow extra time to travel safely to your destination.

As always, the Summit Police Department appreciates your cooperation with helping us help you travel safely through Summit.
