Information Regarding the Status of the Township's Snow Removal/Plowing Operations

The Township is receiving a great number of calls from residents concerned about the plowing of their streets. We want to assure residents that our Department of Public Works employees, as well as private contractors employed during this storm, have been working tirelessly since the storm began to clear the roads. However, these efforts have been complicated since we are dealing with a possible record snowfall as well as abnormally high wind gusts. As a result, our 34 plowing vehicles which have been operating continuously for the past 24 hours have had to make repeated passes to roadways.

While every road will not be cleared right away, we want residents to know that our plowing operations will continue through the night and will not cease until the storm ends and all the Township roads are safe and passable. The safety of our residents remains as always our primary concern.

We want to remind residents that in case of an emergency you should call 911. All non-emergency storm related questions or concerns should be addressed to our Office of Emergency Management operations center at 732-247-7272. Municipal employees and volunteers from our Community Emergency Response Team are manning phones throughout the night to support our emergency service providers and respond to non-emergency inquiries.
