Advisory

Alternate side parking rules for winter storm(1/23 & 1/24). Please do not drive unless absolutely necessary.

To allow for safe and efficient snow removal, the following parking rules are in effect.

On Saturday January 23, 2016 at 12am - All city vehicles shall park on the odd side of the street.  (This is the side of the street where house numbers are odd.)

Reminder: On Sunday January 24, 2016 at 12am - All city vehicles shall park on the even side of the street.(This is the side of the street where house numbers are even.)

Streets that are posted with snow emergency signs, follow the instructions on the signs.

Unless absolutely necessary, please do not drive. We are experiencing numerous calls for service involving vehicles that become stuck and left in the roadway unattended. These vehicles may be cited and towed in order for the plows to remove the snow.

Also when clearing your vehicles, driveways, walkways of snow, please do not place the snow in the roadway. Please direct snow removal, plowing, salting and sanding questions to the Department of Public Works at (732)775-0900.  Reminder:  Residents who reside in an area of the city that is prone to flooding, examples, Lake Avenue, Sunset Avenue, Deal Lake Drive, 1500 blocks of Bangs and Summerfield Avenues, are asked to relocate their vehicles to a safe area. Thank you and stay safe!
