Advisory

Storm System Expected January 21st-24th

A new storm system will bring another round of rain to the Bay Area beginning late in the evening of Thursday, January 21st. Periods of rain, possibly heavy at times, are expected through Saturday, January 24th. The heaviest rainfall is expected Friday night into Saturday morning. The rainfall will create slick roadways that will likely cause longer than normal commute/travel times, especially Friday morning. With this in mind, please give yourself extra time and drive carefully. It is estimated that the rainfall total for this storm will be between .25 and .75 of an inch locally and between 1.5 to 2.5 inches in the North Bay. Strong and gusty local winds can also be expected due to this storm, especially during Friday evening. Winds are estimated to be between 15-25 MPH with gusts up to 35 MPH.
