Current Shooting Investigation on Inyo Ct. in the Sundale neighborhood.
At 9:03 a.m. Fremont Police patrol officers responded to a call of a shooting inside a residence on the 4400 block of Inyo Ct. Patrol officers arrived on scene and found a female victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The female has been transported to a trauma center with a potentially life threatening injury. Detectives have been called out and have assumed the investigation. The suspect is described as a male with no further description and he is currently outstanding. We are very early on in this investigation and we unfortunately have no further information to share at this time. We will release more details as they become available.
Brier Elementary and Glankler Early Learning Center were both put on temporary lock-down early on in the investigation for approximately 40 minutes as a precautionary measure.
