On 1/18/16, at 0501 hours, Deputies from the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to 4550 Highway 101, the Gas Club, on the report of an armed robbery that just occurred.
Deputies arrived on the scene and met with the store clerk at the Gas Club. The clerk reported that two suspects entered the store and confronted the store clerk who was seated behind the cash register. Suspect #1 pointed a dark colored revolver at the clerk and ordered the clerk not to move. Both suspects walked behind the counter and ordered the clerk to open the cash register. As suspect #1 pointed the revolver at the clerk, suspect #2 took the cash from the register. The clerk estimated the value of the stolen cash at approximately $300.00.
After taking the cash from the register, both suspects fled the scene on foot. The clerk did not see a vehicle associated with the suspects. Sheriff’s Deputies searched the area but were not able to locate the suspects.
Suspect #1 was described as; Hispanic male adult, 5’ 7”, medium build, 22-25 years old, wearing dark clothing with a black bandana covering his face.
Suspect #2 was described as; Hispanic male adult, 5’ 9”, medium build, unknown age, wearing a light colored jacket with a pink towel or bandana covering his face and shoulders.
The store did have a video surveillance system which captured the incident.
This investigation will be forwarded to the Violent Crimes unit for further investigation.
